Indigo Expedition runs a range of carefully crafted small-group itineraries across Morocco, including:
New tours and dates are added regularly — visit indigoexpedition.com for the full programme.
The following experiences are not included in promotional pricing and are booked at standard rates:
Yes. The Ladies Expedition in Morocco is an exclusively women's small-group tour. It's designed to offer a safe, empowering, and social travel experience combining cultural immersion, hammam & spa sessions, souk shopping, and genuine sisterhood. It's one of our most popular departures and fills up fast.
Indigo Expedition intentionally runs small group tours to keep the experience personal, flexible, and authentic. Group sizes vary by tour but are kept small by design — this means spaces sell out quickly, especially on popular departures. We recommend booking early to avoid disappointment.
Absolutely. Many of our guests travel solo, and our small group format is perfect for meeting like-minded people. You'll share a genuine adventure experience in a friendly, supportive environment. Single supplement options are available — details are on each individual tour page.
It varies by tour. Most of our itineraries are suitable for anyone with a moderate level of fitness and a sense of adventure. Tours such as Atlas Peaks & Valleys involve more physical activity and hiking, while tours like Imperial Cities & Coast or the Ladies Expedition are more relaxed in pace. Each tour page includes a difficulty rating to help you choose.
Tour prices cover land-only services, which typically include:
The following are not included: international flights, airport transfers, travel insurance, optional activities, tips, personal spending, and local payments. Full details are on each tour page.
No — international flights are not included in the tour price. You will need to book your own flights to and from Morocco. The main international gateway airports are Marrakech Menara (RAK) and Casablanca Mohammed V (CMN). We recommend booking flights only after your tour is confirmed.
Yes — travel insurance is mandatory for all Indigo Expedition tours. Your policy must cover medical emergencies, emergency evacuation, trip cancellation, and baggage loss. Please arrange comprehensive travel insurance independently before your departure and carry your policy details with you throughout the trip.
Morocco is a year-round destination, but the most comfortable travel seasons are spring (March–May) and autumn/early winter (September–December). During these months temperatures are mild and pleasant — perfect for desert trekking, city exploration, and mountain hiking. Summer (June–August) can be very hot, especially in the Sahara and interior cities. December brings crisp, magical conditions in the dunes and a quieter atmosphere in the medinas.
Most Western passport holders — including citizens of the EU, UK, USA, Canada, and Australia — can enter Morocco visa-free for up to 90 days. However, entry requirements can change, and each traveller is responsible for confirming their own visa situation with the relevant Moroccan embassy or consulate before travel.
Each traveller is solely responsible for ensuring they hold a valid passport and meet all visa, vaccination, and health requirements for Morocco and any transit countries. Please consult your doctor and relevant government health advisories well in advance of your departure date. Indigo Expedition cannot be held responsible for any issues arising from insufficient documentation.
Packing will depend on the season and your specific tour, but general recommendations include:
A detailed packing list is sent to all confirmed guests before departure.
The local currency is the Moroccan Dirham (MAD). Dirhams can be exchanged at airports, banks, and official bureaux de change — it's best to exchange on arrival as dirhams are not widely available abroad. ATMs are available in cities and larger towns. Credit cards are accepted in hotels and some restaurants, but cash is essential for souks, tips, and smaller purchases.
Morocco is generally considered a safe and welcoming destination for tourists. Millions of international visitors travel there each year. As with any destination, normal travel precautions apply — be aware of your surroundings, keep valuables secure, and follow the advice of your guide. Travelling with a reputable operator like Indigo Expedition provides an added layer of safety and local knowledge throughout your journey.
Standard Indigo Expedition cancellation terms apply to all bookings. Cancellation fees vary depending on how far in advance you cancel relative to your departure date. Cancelling or changing dates may result in a partial or full loss of your deposit or trip cost. Full terms are available in our Booking Conditions.
Date changes may be possible subject to availability. Please note that changing to a different departure date may affect your pricing, particularly if your original booking was made at a promotional rate. Contact the Indigo Expedition team directly to discuss your options before making any amendments.
In the unlikely event that Indigo Expedition needs to cancel a departure, you will be offered a choice of an alternative departure date, a credit toward a future trip, or a full refund of any payments made to Indigo Expedition. Please note that Indigo Expedition is not responsible for independently booked flights or other travel costs — this is why comprehensive travel insurance is essential.
If your preferred departure is sold out, get in touch with us — we may be able to add you to a waitlist, suggest an alternative date, or recommend a similar itinerary that fits your travel window. New departure dates are added throughout the year, so it's always worth checking back at indigoexpedition.com.
