Day 1 : Marrakech to Ait Ben Haddou
We’ll cross the central High Atlas at the Tizi 'n Tichka pass (2.260mt) to reach the ancient Ksar of Ait Ben Haddou, by travelling along the ancient Kasbah of Telouet and the canyons of the Ounila Valley, at the hearth of the berber traditions of the Atlas (villages of Asaka, Tezleft and Tamdakht). Guided visit of the Ksar of Ait Ben Haddou at sunset. Upon request, dinner with a local host family and night in a traditional guesthouse in the ksar at candlelight.
Day 2 : Oasis of Skoura - Roses Valley
During our second day trip we'll explore the famous road of One Thousand Kasbahs, with stops at the oasis of Skoura (visit of the Amridil Kasbah) and the Roses Valley (visits of local handicraft cooperatives). Upon request, walking, mountain bike and horse riding tours in the oasis of Skoura. Overnight stay in the Dadès Valley.
Day 3 : Dadès Valley
We’ll spend our third day trip exploring the steep canyons and the beautiful green oasis of the Dadès valley, dotted with traditional villages and ancient kasbahs, in the heart of the most traditional Berber Morocco. During the day, guided 4x4 and walking tours in the valley.
Day 4 : Todgha Gorges
During the morning, walking tour in the beautiful Todgha gorges and the surrounding oasis. On the way to the Ziz Valley, we’ll stop for a refreshing break at Ghéris oasis, tiny jewel enclosed between the High and the Anti Atlas, with a guided visit to the ancient Ksar of Goulmima, remarkable example of Southern Morocco defensive architecture. Upon request, horse riding tours and soft treks to the nomadic settlements in the mountains.
Day 5 : Merzouga Dunes (Erg Chebbi)
We’ll explore the lush region of Errachidia, mosaic of cultures and traditions on the road to the desert of Merzouga. In the afternoon, camel trek on the dunes and overnight stay in a traditional tent camp in the hearth of the desert, provided with all comforts.
Day 6 : Mhamid
We'll travel towards the immense palmeraie of Draa and the Saharan village of M'hamid, at the doors of the desert that marks the border between Morocco and Algeria. Upon request, guided visit at the prehistoric rock paintings near the village of Tazzarine and a short walking tour in the oasis. Overnight stay in a traditional riad.
Day 7 : Zagora oasis
We'll continue our journey travelling towards the pre Saharan village of Zagora. Camel trek and overnight staying in a traditional nomad camp. Upon request, guided visit of the Museum of Tissargate, hosting an interesting collection on the Arts and Traditions of Draa Valley, and the Kasbah of Temegroute, important religious site dating back to the eleventh century, also renowned as place of production of a fine ceramic painted in ocher and blue.
Day 8 : Draa Valley (Agdz) - Ouarzazate
We’ll continue our journey across the lush oasis of Draa with a guided visit of the colorful souk of Agdez and the Kasbah of Tamnougalt, beautiful example of the cob architecture characteristic of these regions. Departure for Ouarzazate in the late afternoon, with stop at the Oasis of Fint for a refreshing break among palm groves, almond and fig trees.
Day 9 : Ouarzazate to Marrakech
Before leaving for Marrakech, we’ll explore the medina of Ouarzazate with guided visits to the impressive palace of Taorirte, beautifully restored in recent times, and the traditional handicraft souq. For cinema lovers, guided visit to the Cinema Museum and the world-renowned Cla Studios, with their suggestive installations in the heart of a stunning desert landscape.
